6 MONTHS OLD!

Can you believe that I am already 6 months old???!!!

It has been an amazing week! I have done all sorts of really neat things, and don't know where to begin...

I was able to spend some time with grandma Schafer this week. I hadn't seen her in a while and she was amazed at how much I have grown! Mom and I had lunch with her, and then while mommy was in an appointment grandma and I went shopping together. We had lots of fun laughing and chatting.
After we got home I spent some time with Daddy watching my movie. Funny; my mom took a picture of us together, but I don't see me...

This week mom decided that I was big enough to start trying different kinds of baby food. I'd only had bananas, so I was really excited to try new things. Mom started with this green-looking paste. I was so anxious to eat it that I gobbled the whole spoonful with a big smile on my face...then I tasted it...

My whole body shook with disgust, and I let mom immediately know that I DID NOT like peas! She switched right back to bananas, and I was so thrilled that I grabbed a handful and smeared it ALL OVER my face!

I have decided that I like to play with my food more than I like to eat it.

This week I have been working on lots of exercises in therapy. My neck is getting a lot stronger and I am learning how to play with my feet. My therapist Karen showed me how to grab my feet and bring them to my mouth! One night while mom and I were getting ready for a bath I decided to show-off my new talent by sucking my toes!!!

This whole week my family was talking about my upcoming 6 month birthday. I couldn't understand why they were so excited for Saturday to come, until it did...

I woke up to my mom and dad singing me a funny song. After I ate an "extra-special-birthday-bottle" mom and dad let me play in my new birthday gift, an exersaucer! It is so cool; it lights up, it moves around, it makes noises, I LOVE it!

After playing for a while mom took me into the spa. She held me up and made motor boat noises as she pushed me around.

I quickly got the hang of it and understood why mom likes to kick back and relax in the spa.

After we hung out in the spa dad dressed me in my Green Bay Packers jersey (borrowed from Jackson) and the whole family watched the Packers stomp the Seahawks. It was an incredible game and Brett Favre played like a champ! Grandpa Schafer said that when they go to the super bowl we will take a road trip to Arizona to watch him play!!!

As if my day wasn't cool enough, mom and dad took me to the bowling alley. We had a great time, and EVERYONE in the bowling alley wanted to meet me and tell me HAPPY BIRTHDAY- apparently I was a big hit. I enjoyed watching all the action and looking at all the bright colors, especially the bowling balls.

After we left the bowling alley mom told me that I had one more birthday surprise. We stopped on the way home at Golden Spoon, and I was eager to get a small taste of mommy's like I usually do.

Much to my surprise, and excitement, mom and dad had gotten me MY OWN mini golden spoon! They set me up in my high chair and after singing me my birthday song let me loose...

I was so excited with disbelief that I stared at it wide-eyed for a minute...

With help I dove in for my first bite...

It was amazing, and I quickly wanted more...

Before too long I had it all figured out.

I even used to the spoon like a big girl...

By the time I was finished mom joked that I got more on my face than in my mouth...

I was so messy when I was done that mommy had to give me an extra long bath!!!

When my bath was done I got to eat another "extra-special-birthday-bottle." I could barely finish the bottle I was so tired. 4th and I crashed out in the new big-girl-bed that I slept in for the first time!

I had such an incredible 6-month birthday that I can't wait to see what is in store for my 1-year!

Everyone left...

Today was a sad day... I woke up and found that everyone had gone home.

Grandpa was back in San Diego, aunt Hayley flew home to the Caribbean, and uncle Shawn and uncle Brad drove back to Wisconsin. I am sad beacuse I really enjoyed spending time with them! Uncle Shawn and Brad got to stay at my house for two whole weeks and we got to do all sorts of things together. Between bike rides, sporting events, ice cream outings, and playtime I got spoiled! Mom even dressed me up in my camo outfit for Dangley.

Mom and Shawn had a "last day ever," which is a ritual they do each time before Shawn leaves, and after riding on the back bay loop took me to lunch at Sizzler. It is uncle Shawn's favorite restaraunt, and I sure liked all the decorations. I enjoyed watching as everyone put food in their mouths and am loooking forward to tasting lots of foods soon. Don't tell anyone, but mom and dad let me try some mashpotatoes at dinner the other night...

Spending time with aunt Hayley and Holly was lots of fun too! Hayley spoiled me with lots of attention, and Hollywood was neat to play with. I liked pulling on her fur, and as you can see she was a little irritated. Aunt Hayley said she was jealous of me because I got all the attention.

Last night we went to dinner to say goodbye to everyone- I slept through most of it. When we got home grandpa played with me while everyone packed up. For some reason he thought it was funny to hang me upside down again, he sure is silly!
I am going to miss my family, and can't wait until I can see them again!

My first Christmas!

December has been a blast! So many wonderful things have happened in my life.

I found out that I have feet! They are so fun to play with, and now lying on my back isn't so bad...

My aunt and uncles came to visit me, and it has been amazing! Aunt Hayley and I got to spend the weekend together in Mammoth. While mom went snowboarding aunt Hayley and I played with grandpa and Hollywood. Uncle brad and Shawn have been staying at my house, and I love having a house full of people to keep me company. We all went to the Charger game on Christmas Eve. Everyone had a great time, but I was mad that daddy wouldn't let me have any food.

After we got home from the game dad helped me put my first Christmas ornament on the tree. It was a gift from grandpa Frankwick and it made pretty music.

After we finished the tree mom and I made a gingerbread house for Santa which we left for him to snack on. I also got to leave him a note where I asked him to bring me lots of bottles full of milk!

In the morning we woke up and Santa had come! He brought me a stocking full of gifts. Dad and I had a good time opening it.
After I finished my stocking mom helped me open the gifts I had under the tree. I got all sorts of neat stuff!

It didn't take long for me to figure out how to open them...

One of my favorite gifts was the rocking horse I got from the Umbargers. It rocks back and forth while making funny noises that make me laugh. It also wags its tail and moves its head. I have a lot of fun playing on it.When we were done opening all the gifts, grandpa thought it would be funny to wrap me up like a present. I had fun opening myself! I am very grateful to everyone for all the incredible gifts I got this Christmas.

After Christmas we went home and I got to use all my new presents. Mom let me try some bananas in my new high chair. As you can see I really enjoyed them!

The day after we came home we packed up again and headed to Mammoth. Dad, Uncle Shawn, and uncle Brad all went snowboarding. Mom dressed me up in my gear and I got to walk them to the mountain. It was cold outside, but I huddled up with mom and had a good time on the slopes.
We left the mountain as it was snowing outside and headed back home. Then, as if my week couldn't get any more exciting, Grandpa and Hayley came to visit me and the whole family went to Knott's Berry Farm. It was awesome! There were so many things to look it. I got to sit with grandpa while everyone went on the rides. Before we left mom even took me on the carousel. I sat on an ostrich that went up and down!!!!

We sure have had an incredible couple of weeks. I definitely like the holiday season, mostly because I get to spend time with my incredible family. I am going to be very sad when they all leave to go home, but know that wherever they are they will be thinking of me and missing me!!!!!!!!

5 months old!

Today is my birthday and I am 5 months old!!!

I am getting really big, and am finally growing out of my newborn clothing! I now weight about 12lbs, and am 24 inches long. Can you believe that I am twice as big as I was when I was born???
The doctor told mommy that she could start feeding me rice cereal this week. Mom and dad were really excited and made a BIG deal about it. I don't know what the big fuss was, to be honest with you it tasted icky.

I let mom know that I didn't like it and wanted my bottle. She kept trying to get me to eat it for a couple of days but realized that I liked playing with the spoon more than I liked eating the food. Mom finally stopped feeding it to me and said we can try again in a month.

This week I started my physical therapy at the doctor's. It's not that bad, I get stretched out and my muscles get massaged. Afterwards mommy gives me a big bottle and lots of love. I think that it is worth the 1/2 hour of therapy for all the extra attention! We even get to go to GoldenSpoon on the way home, and mom lets me have some. I love it and would eat that all the time if she would let me!!!!!

Our family started to get ready for Christmas this week. Mommies friend Andrea bought me a hat and some mittens. I love to laugh at how silly I look! Mom told me all about Santa and his reindeer, and how they were going to come visit me at Grandpa Schafer's on the 25th.

I am becoming more mobile now, and am starting to get the hang of this "rolling over" thing. I did it twice the other day but then got tired; it takes a lot of work! Mom lets me sit in the johnny jumper while she is making dinner at night and I have a lot of fun moving around.

I also have fun playing guitar hero with my dad. He is awesome at it, and can beat the game on expert. He is trying to teach me how to play...

I love my family a whole bunch. 4th always tries to play with my feet, and Jax and I are becoming good buddies.

Maybe a little too good...

I am looking forward to going to San Diego this weekend. We are going to be picking up Aunt Hayley from the airport on Sunday and I am so excited that she is coming to see me- it has been over 3 months since I have seen her. She will be so proud of how I have grown!!!

Too much fun!

It's been quite a while since I've had time to sit down and write...
Since my last post I have been a travelin' baby! On Friday the 16Th Grandma Schafer and Auntie Linda brought mommy, daddy, and me to the airport so that we could go visit the rest of the Frankwick family in Wisconsin. All week mom had been anxious about our trip, so I was on my best behavior. We reached the airport around 11pm and had to go through all sorts of security. Can you believe they made mom take me out of my comfy stroller??? After what seemed like hours we finally were able to sit down on the plane. I got to sit in my own seat like a big girl until some wierdo came and I had to move to mom's lap.

I don't remember much of the flight because I slept the WHOLE time. I don't know why everyone was so worried about me flying...

We arrived in Minnesota at 6am and Uncle Shawn was there to greet us. It was sure great to see him! He had his new ride all cozy and warm so I fell asleep the whole drive to Wisconsin. When we reached Grandma's house I was overwhelmed; there were so many people there to see me! Grandma Frankwick, Uncle Brad (whom I was meeting for the first time), even Grandpa Schafer and Mikey were out here from California!!!
I felt like a queen at Grandma's house. She had all sorts of stuff for me; a playpen, swing, crib, and lots of toys.

Mommy couldn't take all the excitement and took a nap. While she slept I got to meet my Grandpa Frankwick for the first time. I can tell that we are going to have a lot of fun together.

He sure is a nice guy, and he brought me presents! I love my new reindeer. That night the whole family went to dinner together. I was exhausted from my long day and fell asleep at the dinner table.

The next day Mommy and Daddy went with Grandpa Schafer and Mikey to Green Bay to see the Packers play. I was sad that I couldn't go, but it was too cold and I got to stay at Grandma's house instead! We had a great day together, and grandma I are good pals.

On Monday we went to breakfast and said goodbye to Grandpa Schafer and Mikey. Afterwards we drove through the zoo by Grandmas house and saw all sorts of cool animals. I like to wolves the best because mom and dad made funny howling noises at them. The next day we went to the bowling alley and Uncle Brad came with us! He sure turned out to be a good bowler. Like usual mommy came in last. When we got home mom, dad, and grandma played a card game and my uncle Paulie stopped by to meet me. I sure liked to smile at him.

On thanksgiving we went to daddies godparents. There were so many people there for me to meet. While mom and dad stuffed their faces I got to hang out with my cousins and play!

The next day we slept in and relaxed after all of the thanksgiving excitement. In the afternoon dad took mom and I to see the Netzers and meet Finn. Finn is a baby like me, in fact I am older than him by 2 whole months!

On our last night in Wisconsin we went bowling with uncle Shawn, grandma Frankwick, uncle Brad, grandpa Frankwick, and Cindy. I enjoyed looking at all the lights in the arcade! Afterwards we went to dinner, and mom let me stay out late to say goodbye to Grandpa and Cindy.

The next day we had to say goodbye to grandma Frankwick, and boy was I was sad. I can't wait until she comes out to California to visit me!

Uncle Shawn and dad packed up the ride and we headed to Minnesota. Dad stopped and bought these books called "mad libs", and the whole way everyone was laughing. I couldn't understand what they were saying, but it sure sounded like they were having fun. When we arrived in Minnesota we went to daddies friend's house where uncle Shawn is living. Scott and Becky have a beautiful home, and are expecting a baby girl anytime now! They offered to hang out with me for "practice" while Shaw took mom and dad to Cabellas. I had fun with Scott and Becky while they were gone. They returned about 2 hours later and couldn't stop talking about how exciting it will be when I can go to this place they call Cabellas and see the mountain...
That night we stayed up and hung out with everyone. Another friend of daddies came to the house to see me. His name is Pheif, and I really liked him. I had such a great time with everyone that I conked out around 11pm and slept until mom woke me up at 3am to go to the airport.

Uncle Shawn dropped us off and I was sad to leave him. I am even going to miss his silly buck grunter. It may have scared me at first, but now I don't mind the noise. In fact, I think its funny!

The flight home was even more comfortable than the way there. Mom bought a pillow for me, and I enjoyed my second flight. Daddy even let me listen to his music!!!

I miss all my family and friends from the Midwest and hope they come and see me in California soon!
