Lots of Easter Fun!

Easter activities filled our calendar this month.  From one event to another, Mom took us around town so that we could join in the fun!

Dad left Arizona for California to open the new Lifetime Fitness in Laguna, so Mom made sure to take pictures of everything we did.

At Church we got to join our friends for an Easter egg hunt!  Here we are waiting patiently with our baskets.

It was great to spend the day with some good friends.

Mom brought Presely's walker so that she could be contained while Macie and I hunted for eggs.  Presley didn't seem to mind...

When it was time, Macie and I both took off.

Walker, a friend of ours who was too old to participate, helped Macie find lots of eggs.

Presley got bored after a while, so Mom gave her a plastic egg to play with- it solved the problem and has become a favorite toy of hers.

After the egg hunt, both Macie and I showed off all the eggs we found.

Walker and Macie were too good at finding eggs and got so many that her basket was overflowing.  Mom made her give some to other kids that weren't as successful...

She still managed to go home with a ton!

We all had a great time at Church, and enjoyed spending the morning outside with friends.

That afternoon, Mom took us to the mall to see the Easter Bunny.  We were unsure how Presley would react, but she loved him!

Mom was SO proud of her happy little girl!

After taking pictures with the bunny, we suckered Mom into some pretzel bites and a train ride.  We all sat in our own train cars as we rode through the mall.

Presley had the most fun, she laughed and said hi to everyone we passed.

On the walk back to the car, I talked Mom into letting me go on the trampoline; it was SO fun!!  I spent 10 minutes flipping forward and backwards- Mom was impressed!!!

The next day we went to another Easter Party at our friend Anya's.  Before going, We took some pictures for Dad.  Mom is impressed with the new poses we have come up with.

Presley wasn't thrilled to be taking pictures, but we managed to get a few shots.

At the party we saw another Easter Bunny!  He greeted us at the door with a bug hug and chocolates!

Presley was fascinated by him and couldn't get enough!

She kept finding ways to crawl back to him.

After playing inside for a while, it was time for the big egg hunt!

All 3 of us ran through the yard collecting eggs and treats!

I made sure to help my baby sister.

After the egg hunt, we played all sorts of fun games.  Presley kept herself entertained with a balloon.  She chuckled as she swatted it back and forth.

Outside we had a sack race, and Macie and I had a ton of fun.

All that jumping made me tired!

Mom loved the look of excitement on our faces as we hopped to the finish line.

There was a hula hoop contest, and Macie decided to show off her neck hula hooping skills...

That following weekend was Easter, and the night before we colored eggs to leave out for the bunny.

Before going to bed I made sure to write some notes. Mom laughed aloud when she read them.

I made sure to let him know that he needed to be careful when we was eating; last year he made a HUGE mess with the carrots.

Dad drove home late Easter night so that he could spend the day with our family.  We were so excited to see him when we woke up in the morning.  After big hugs, we ran to the fireplace to see if the Easter Bunny had come.

He sure had, and boy were we excited to see what he brought.

Presley got a new swing for our swing set, along with some baby snacks and peeps.

Presley also got some dum dums in her basket.  It didn't take her long before she ripped off a wrapper and shoved one into her mouth (they are her FAVORITE).

Along with a new scooter, Macie got a basket full of awesome books to practice reading!!!

I also got a new scooter,

but was most thrilled to get a new Dictionary and Thesaurus.

After breakfast, Mom and Dad watched from afar as we tore through the house looking for eggs.

We didn't have much time to enjoy our baskets before getting ready for Church. While Mom was getting everyone ready I looked through some books.

After Macie was dressed, she came out and posed for Dad.

Dad managed to take a few more  pictures before we got in the car.

We arrived at church, excited to go to Chapel with the whole family (we usually go to Sunday school).

After the service we played on the play gound for a while and enjoyed the beautiful Arizona sunshine.

That afternoon, we had guests over for Easter.  Aunt Hayley and John came over and brought a big surprise with them.  They called it the BLOB.  At first we were hesitant; it looked like a big water bed, but turned out to be SO MUCH FUN!

The blob provided hours of entertainment!!!

After feasting on turkey and ham, we waited patiently with Dad while Mom, Hayley, and Uncle Will hid Easter eggs thru the yard.   The whole family was excited to have such a fun backyard to hide eggs in.

We found eggs in all sorts of clever hiding spots!

At the end of the hunt, we had found almost 80 eggs and were tuckered out.

We spent the remainder of the day relaxing with the family and spending time with Dad.  We were grateful he was able to come home to be with us on Easter, but sad he had to head back to California so quickly.  There are lots of changes coming for our family.  Dad received a new job title, and will be permanently moving to California next week. We are sad he is leaving, but grateful for the opportunity he has been given.  The rest of us will eventually move to California, but have lots to do before leaving.  Between the end of the school year, birthday parties, baby appointments, etc. we aren't sure when we will make the trip to join Dad.  Check back soon for updates!
