Off to a Great Start!

2018 got off to an amazing start.  We spent lots of time enjoying the fantastic San Diego weather at the beach.

Thanks to the warm winter weather Nixon spent most of his time wearing only underwear and his dinosaur backpack.  Mom was just grateful he had bottoms on at all.

We enjoyed many days at Sea World and loved it when Grandma Judy would join us.  She always makes things more fun!

We even made a trip up to Laguna to see some friends of ours.  Presley and Nixon had a great time playing with all of their fantastic toys.

Macie and I enjoyed playing with the "boys" stuff.  Star Wars and Nerf Wars kept us occupied for hours.

After two weeks off we were all eager to get back to school and see our friends.  Mom was thrilled when the winter weather came back again and she could dress us in jackets and accessories!!

At the beginning of February Mom planned a trip to Las Vegas so that Macie and I could spend some time with ours friends.  Presley and Nixon were staying at home with Dad for the 4 days we were gone, so she took them out for some fun around town before leaving.

Our first morning in Vegas was spent at the salon at Lifetime.  While Mom was getting her hair done Macie got a cut by our friend Yessy.  Yessy had blue and purple hair and Macie was in awe.  She pleaded to get her hair colored and Mom just wasn't open to the idea of hair color at her age.  To Macie's extreme excitement Yessy pulled out some maroon hair extensions she had that were the perfect length.  When Mom saw the twinkle in Macie's eye she decided that two temporary extensions were a good compromise.

In the afternoon we went to visit our friends and teachers at Staton Elementary.  While walking to the library Mom found my Cheer picture of the wall and couldn't help but take a picture. I sure miss cheering with my friends.

That night both Macie and I got to spend time with our favorite people.  Mom took Cari and I out for some fun while Macie hung out at Mikayla's house.

Since I'd grown a half inch over the past 4 months I was now 54 inches which meant I was tall enough to ride the coaster at the New York New York!!!  Cari and I were so excited when they gave me the green light to ride.

It was a lot of fun and I was glad that Mom brought me back for redemption!!!

While we were at the hotel we spent some time at the Hershey store goofing off and getting treats.

Macie really enjoyed the time she got to spend with Mikayla and her family.  We are grateful that they are so good to her!

Saturday afternoon we spent time with Cari, Gigi, and Tia, and couldn't have had a better time.

Back in San Diego Nixon and Presley were not missing us much.  Dad kept them occupied with snuggle time in front of the TV, trips to Sea World, cotton candy, and Starbucks cake pops.

They sure enjoyed their time with "yes" Dad and Mom was impressed by the good job he did on his own with them for the first time.

When we returned home Mom made Nixon catch up on sleep again...

He is such a sweet little boy.

It was nice being back home as a family.

Back at school we had our annual Apex Fun Run and Mom adored the outfit I chose to run in.

Both Macie and I ran over 45 laps and impressed Mom and Dad who cheered us on from the sidelines.

Later that week we celebrated Valentines day.

Dad surprised each of us at school with a special home made Valentines lunch, roses, and a box of chocolates.  He sure is good to us!

Our new school doesn't have as many dress up days as our school in Las Vegas, so when they do we get really excited.  On super hero day I wore the Wonder Woman costume Mom made from last Halloween.

Macie chose to be Cat Woman and really got into character.

That weekend Macie's friend Tala came down to San Diego for a visit and stayed at our house.  They enjoyed 3 full days of non stop fun!!

With the end of February rapidly approaching its shocking how fast the year if flying by.  We have found way too many ways to keep ourselves busy but have enjoyed all the work we are doing around the house.  Our great grandma Jean recently moved in and its been even more entertaining.  It's
nice being able to see her all the time and we love her dog Coco that she brought with her.

Life is full of smiles and promises to bring more as the year goes on.
