The School Year is Upon Us

Summer was coming to an end, so Mom and Dad decided to take us to Circus Circus for one more fun family outing before the start of the school year.  Macie and I were SO excited to ride all the fun rides!

We were super excited when we made it to the Frog Hopper.  Macie couldn't wait to get redemption from her last attempt (sobbing tears 2 years ago).

She had SO much fun that we rode it over, and over, and over.  We ended up riding the ride 7 times in a row!

Later in the week, while Mom was home relaxing with Presley, Uncle Will took Macie and I to the Las Vegas Children's Museum.  We weren't sure what to expect since the Arizona Children's Museum was pretty amazing, but we were pleasantly surprised! There were all sorts of things to do, but playing in the Veterinarians office was among our favorite!

We spent the entire day at the Museum and had a blast!

Mom and Presley spent their time resting at home playing blocks together.  Here is a picture of Presley after she woke up from her nap.  Check out her awesome hair do and smile:

Playing and building with blocks has become a hobby of ours at home.  Mom loves seeing our creativity!

At the end of the week Macie started her first day of Begindergarten (Pre K) at Mt.View Lutheran.  Mom surprised us with a special breakfast treat to commemorate Macie's big day!

Macie was so excited when we brought her to school that morning!

When we picked her up at the end of the day she had a big smile on her face and couldn't wait to tell us all about her teacher, new friends, and new school.

After a snack and change of clothes, Mom took us to the park and the fun continued...

The following Monday was a big day for the Frankwick Girls.  Macie celebrated her FIFTH BIRTHDAY, and I celebrated my first day of FIRST GRADE!

High fives were everywhere that morning!

Macie dressed in her a special birthday outfit she designed, and couldn't have been happier!

Mom even let her bring her new Princess Luna Pony to school with her!

She was so excited to share her special day with her new preschool friends that she skipped away with barely a goodbye as soon as she reached the playground.

After dropping Macie at school, we drove to my new elementary school.  Mom and Dad walked with me to drop me off at my new classroom.

I was a little nervous sitting at my desk,

but Mom and Dad gave me hugs and love and made me feel much better!

At pickup that afternoon both Macie and I had big smiles.  We both had wonderful days at school!

For dinner we went to Chuck E Cheese (Macie's choice), and had a blast playing on all the rides.

The next day Mom let us pick out our school clothes (a big deal in our house since Mom usually chooses), and I made sure to pick the most blinged out ensemble imaginable.  Sequins top, sequins short, sequins shoes, and a feathered hairpiece to match...

Macie chose a more reasonable outfit.

As I got ready to get out of the car at morning drop off, Mom stared in awe at how grown up I looked!

That afternoon Mom took Macie and I to Lifetime to climb the rock wall.  Macie had been waiting for months to be old enough, and was beyond excited to give it a try now that she was 5!!!

She did an awesome job for her first time!

I impressed Mom by climbing to the top on my first try...

Macie only goes to school Monday thru Wednesday, so Mom had us both pose for our last "first week of school photos"

While we were both at school Mom took advantage of her time and got some things done around the house.  While hanging pictures she couldn't help but laugh at Presley and her antics.  She kept yelling hello to the pictures of Macie and I, and Mom even caught her giving us kisses.  I guess she misses her big sisters when they are gone.

The next day Mom, Macie, and Presley dropped me off at school,

and went over to Lifetime to play in the Child Center and say hi to Dad.  Mom couldn't get over how cute the two of them looked holding hands and walking together...

At home that afternoon Macie played with one of her new birthday toys, and exclaimed that this week was "amazing!"

Mom and Dad were grateful that our first official week of school went by without any major catastrophes.  We spent our weekend playing at home while Mom worked on some sewing projects for Aunt Hayley's wedding.  While she was in wedding mode, Mom insisted that we try on the flower girl dresses on for size, but Presley was not too thrilled. Let's hope she does better on game day...

Our family has a lot of exciting things happening in September, so check back soon for updates!
