Nixon turns ONE MONTH!

We can't believe that a month has already passed since Nixon was born- I guess we have been SO busy that time just flew by.  Here are some pictures of our baby brother...

Since we returned home from Aunt Hayley's wedding, Mom has had to adjust to life with 4 kids.  Mornings are crazy, and the evening are not much better, but we are finding ways to make it through.  Nixon has been an absolute joy and is still sleeping through the night!  Mom is sure glad she gets to sleep because she has her hands full during the day.  Nixon usually chills out in a seat or swing while Mom gets us girls ready for school.

Sometimes he falls asleep while waiting.  Every now and again Mom finds him with a baseball or football- I guess Dad is really pushing for an athlete...

Mom is fortunate to have a helper like Presley around during the day when Macie and I are at school,

and when Dad is home at night he makes sure to take time to snuggle with his little buddy.

On the weekends we all hang out, and Dad is excited we are all showing interest in the guitar.

Check out the additions to the guitar room- as much as Dad loves his Les Paul, he can't help but smile when he sees the barbie and elmo guitars on the rack.

Our first weekend back home from Arizona was back to business as usual.  I had a soccer game, and was super excited to be a "beast" on the field (my nickname).

After the game the family went on our very first bike ride together- which was no small feat considering there are 6 of us!

In the evening we carved pumpkins (a week late due to our AZ trip).  We received some bizarre looks from our neighbors, but our family cranked up the Halloween music and rocked out in the driveway.

Presley was not a fan of pumpkin guts!

After we were done we lit our creations and left the out for the following week for everyone to enjoy (again, bizarre looks from the neighbors)!

Nixon stayed inside and slept the whole time- guess the bike ride wore him out!

That next day we went to a birthday party for a friend of Macie's and had a fun afternoon.

The family had a fun filled weekend before it was back to school on Monday.

While Macie and I are at school during the week, Presley and Nixon spend their days with Mom.  Presley has been great with her brother, but she has started to be a tad mischievous.

Breaking into the cabinets,

 taking Nixon's bouncer,

and making a mess whenever possible.

She has also been watching Mom as she pumps...

While Nixon sleeps or hangs out inside,

Presley and Mom try to hang out outdoors.  Presley is really enjoying the trampoline.

Presley is also learning to ride her push bike,

She is getting to be such a big girl.

The other day she informed Mom that she was going to school.  She grabbed a lunch box and took off for the door saying, "good bye-bye."

The week of Thanksgiving Macie and I both had to complete turkey projects at school.  As a family we had to come up with a creative way to disguise our turkey so he wouldn't be eaten at Thanksgiving dinner.  I suggested that we turn our turkeys into a peacocks.  Macie and I designed our own peacock turkeys and Mom worked her magic to turn our visions into a reality.

After school that afternoon the family went to Costco to pick out items for our Thanksgiving feast.  Presley rode in a cart with Uncle Will while Mom shopped around.  She ate every sample the store had to offer and Uncle Will got this AMAZING picture of her after she had a smoothie sample- she totally looks like the joker from batman?!?!?!

We celebrated a nice, causal Thanksgiving this year- by far one of our favorites so far!

After our meal that evening Uncle Will took Macie and I to see Superhero 6 while Mom and Presley cleaned the house and Dad napped with Nixon.

Two days after Thanksgiving the family drove down to San Diego to be a part of Pa's Baptism and Wedding.  It was a special day and we were grateful to be a part of it.

At the reception afterward we entertained the crowd on stage...

Presley's favorite part was the cake!

We drove back home late that night- that's right, that night.  With only one day left before the school week started, Mom and Dad wanted to get things done around the house.  While Mom took out of Christmas items and sorted them, all the girls took turns caring for our brother.

Presley even entertained him with some music- here she is singing you are my sunshine:

We are SO incredibly thankful for so many things this year.  It has been long and challenging at times- a baby, a move, etc., but we have been fortunate to have our family there to support each other.  December is almost here and we are all looking forward to celebrating the Christmas season.
