February Fun!

February got off to a slow start; we didn't have much planned aside from our normal routine, so   Macie and I spent lots of time at home playing with our instruments- I love giving her "lessons" on the piano...

We ran our regular errands, and made sure to help Mom with chores around the house.

With all the time at home it was apparent that Mom started "nesting" - she organized everything in our house, including the bows.  Here is 1 of 3 closets we have for our hair pieces...

As Valentines Day started to get closer, our social calendar quickly became filled.   Here we are at Lifetime helping to promote the Prince and Princess Ball.  We greeted members in the halls and invited them to the dance- Dad was proud of our hard work!

As a reward, the family went to Frozen Yogurt- we have decided that working is well worth the reward!!!

The week of Valentines Day was great- we got to pick out our outfits everyday; all of which were inspired by the holiday.

Here is a picture of Macie at her Valentines pary at school.  She had lots of fun handing out all her valentines!

After her party, we went to gymnastics, and I showed everyone how I can scale the rope without any help:

My party at school was the following day, and I was so excited after hearing how much fun Macie's was.

Mom stayed to watch me put all my valentines in our mailboxes,

but had to leave to take Macie to gymnastics.  On their walk to the car Macie found some "treasures" and insisted Mom take some pictures of her finds.

At gymnastics Macie hammed it up:

and showed off some of her new skills...

On Friday we took a trip back to the Science Center, and had a blast playing with all the interactive exhibits.

On the way out we enjoyed running around the grass and climbing the rocks- Arizona is beautiful this time of year!

On Sunday we drove down to Gilbert to visit with Aunt Hayley and Bugs- it was SO MUCH FUN!  We each got to take turns riding him around the arena!

When Monday came it was back to business as usual; a week full of school, gymnastics, etc:

Mom couldn't stop commenting on how BIG and GROWN UP Macie has become- she walks, talks, and behaves just like a teenager...

At the end of the week we had finished all of our errands, so Mom took us back down to Aunt Hayley's to spend the afternoon.  We insisted she take us back to the barn for more animal fun.

This time Aunt Hayley saddled up Bugs so that we could ride with her and go fast!

As you can see (and hear), we both loved it!!!!!!!

That night we ate dinner at Aunt Hayley's with some friends of hers and had a blast!!!!!!

The next day was the Prince and Princess Ball at the Lifetime in Scottsdale.  Dad was out of town for the week, but Mom decided to take us for an evening of fun.  We arrived early so that Mom could help set up for the dance, but both of us couldn't wait to put on our party dresses and hit the dance floor!

When it was FINALLY time, Mom dressed us and we entered the ball!!

The whole evening was a ton of fun- dancing, eating, crafts, playing...We even got to ride a horse drawn carriage!!!

On the dance floor I found some hula hoops, and discovered a new passion:

We were both very grateful that Mom took us to the ball- it will be tons of fun next year when we get to bring our new sister along!!!

I had so much fun that night, that I woke up bright and early, with my hula hoop in tow, and couldn't stop showing off my new skills...

Dad comes home this week and then has promised to take us to the Fairy Tale Ball next weekend in Palm Valley- we can't wait!!!!!!!!!

2013; Off to a Nice Start!

Our year got off to a slow start.  Mom was still sick, so our activity was limited.  For the remainder of our Christmas break from school we made some trips to Lifetime and took care of lots of errands around town.

One of Mom's "errands" was  purchasing new gym shoes, so while she was trying some on I picked out a pair for myself; I couldn't believe that Mom didn't fall in love with them...

Because a cold front had swept through town, we spent lots of time indoors playing,

 swimming,

and going to gymnastics. Check out what I am able to do now:

After Macie watched me, she tried to give it a shot...

On warmer days we would sit outside in the sun and relax.  Mom loves that both Macie and I enjoy reading!!!

Before we knew it, we were back to school.  Macie and I were thrilled to be back with our friends and teachers!

Macie had been practicing her lessons over break and couldn't wait to show everyone how well she was doing her letters!

Mid week Macie and I got a BIG surprise- our friend Bella was coming to town to visit her Grandma for a few weeks.  We were SO excited to see her that we could hardly contain ourselves.  When the big day finally arrived we couldn't stop smiling!!!

Mom took us all to the train park for our big reunion, and we even got to buy happy meals from McDonald's and have a picinic!!!

The three of us had a blast riding the train together,

and since the Christmas decorations were still up, we enjoyed being silly while posing in front of them.

Before taking Bella back to her Grandma's house, we ran up and down the train tracks laughing with one another; it was great to have her back!!!

Over the next few weeks we got to see Bella lots!  We went swimming at Lifetime,

and even went down to the Science Center to check out the new Dinosaur Exhibit!!!

It was lots of fun digging in the sand, and seeing all the BIG dinosaurs.

We loved the hands-on experience!!!

All the excitement wore us down, and poor Macie just couldn't hang...

When the weekend came, Macie, Mom, and I went to a baby shower for a friend of ours.  At first we were both a little hesitant about attending; I couldn't understand what was so exciting about "watching a baby take a shower."  Once Mom finally explained everything, we were on board and thrilled to have an excuse to dress up and be girly!!!

After a long weekend of fun, poor Macie was really tired.  Mom worried that she was getting sick, and unfortunately Mom was right.   It takes A LOT to get Macie to slow down and sleep, and that seemed like that was all she wanted to do...

Mid week, Macie and I went to school to see Jungle Jill and her animals from the Outback before driving to California- Macie didn't even make it to school before falling asleep.

I was THRILLED to see all the animals, and couldn't wait for the show to start.

We both had a great time with the animals, and left school with Mom after the performance to pack the car for our trip to California.  After a LONG drive we arrived at Grandma Judy's ready for bed.  In the morning we BOTH woke up with smiles, and it looked like Macie was finally feeling better...

After a few days of indoor fun at Grandma's (it was raining in San Diego), we got dressed up again to attend another baby shower.  This time the shower was for our Aunt Liz and Uncle Ryan!!!

The shower was lots of fun, and afterwards we got to go over to see Aunt Liz and Uncle Ryan's new house!!!  They gave us a tour of their home and their neighborhood, and we even stopped to play at the local park- SO much fun!

Before leaving to go to dinner with Pa, Macie and I made sure to give Aunt Liz and our baby cousin big kisses- we can't wait to meet her!!!

Instead of staying in California for the whole week, Mom decided that it was best if we went home and got rest.  It proved to be the best decision, because after a few days of sleeping in the same bed as sick Macie, Mom got sick.  By the end of the week we were rested, and went to work with Mom to give her some additional help.  Dad was really proud of us!!!

With Mommy sick, we were back at home for some indoor activities.  We did lots of play doh, and made TONS of masterpieces.

There should be lots more coming up for us in February; Valentines Day, and our personal favorite- THE DADDY DAUGHTER DANCE!!!!  Can't wait for the fun to begin...
