Month of May

May turned out to be an eventful month; From birthday parties to school events, our family was busy, busy, busy!!!!

The first birthday party of the month was one of my most favorite friends from school: CATALYNA!!!  She had a lollipop themed birthday party at her house, and it was AWESOME!  They had water games, and TONS of food EVERYWHERE!

Macie loved the kiddie pool and spent hours going back up and down.

I was thrilled when Mom gave Macie and I the green light to eat whatever we wanted!!!!  The following pictures will show you that we did just that:

When it came time for games, we were ready!  Here I am playing the balloon pop game:

and here Macie is showing off the prize she won in the board game!

Catalyna's party was a blast, and Macie and I were grateful that we were both included in the fun.

The next day I went to Peter Piper Pizza to celebrate Eli's birthday.  I spent most of my time there riding on the back of Travis's motorcycle- poor Mom was hoping that this is the only type of bike I will EVER get on the back of.

That next week I had my annual dentist appointment.  I would imagine most kids aren't too thrilled, but I couldn't wait!  My dentist is amazing, and the dentist's office is so much FUN!!!

Not only did we get to play and get toys, but we got to lay back on the chairs and watch TV (a big deal, since we haven't watched much at all since we canceled our cable in January.

The rest of our week went well; school was great, and Mom spent time making me some new outfits to pose in:

Here is one of the new favorites, a lace pair of shorts that looks like a skirt:

Mom couldn't get enough of my hair, and kept taking pictures of how long it is getting.

At the end of the week I brought Aunt Hayley to school to talk about being a Veterinarian.  She brought Hollywood along to show the class, and everyone loved having them.

Saturday morning Macie and I slept in and had a fun time making silly faces at the breakfast table.

That night was my first big party at Scottsdale Gymnastics.  It was a "Glow in the Dark" theme, and Mom made sure to make the appropriate outfit for my special night!

Mom made Bella a matching outfit, and the both of us looked super cool when we arrived at the party!

We spent the evening running, climbing, jumping, and having the BEST TIME EVER!!!!

When Mom and Miss Jackie came back to pick us up at 9pm, they were shocked that we were still going strong!!!

That night we had a blast, and even won a costume contest for "best glow in the dark costume"!!!

In the morning I shared my pink hair with Macie while I told her all about the fun things we did that night.

Dad. Macie, and I spent the day celebrating Graham's third birthday at his carnival party while Mom sold her stuff at Life Time!!!  Because Mom missed out on the fun, Dad made sure to take plenty of pictures...

At school on Monday an amazing thing happened- it started to rain!!!  Macie and I  don't get the chance to see rain that much in Arizona, so we were pretty excited.  I guess Mom let Macie play outside and get wet while I was in class.

Here she is riding her trike as the rain came down:

By the time I came home from school the rain had stopped and I was bummed.  Mom told me that if I laid down and took a short nap, maybe the rain would come back.  I was ecstatic when I woke to rain drops and immediately ran into the yard.

Macie and I played outside until dusk when it became to cold to stay out any longer.

Dad left for Las Vegas Thursday morning and Mom had planned a weekend of relaxation and work.  Friday morning Dad called her and asked if we would drive up and join him in the Presidential suite at the Paris Las Vegas.  Mom was a bit hesitant to make the long drive and forgo the weekend's plans, but decided that there was no way she could say no to Dad when most women only wished  their husband's would invite them to Vegas.

We arrived at the Paris Friday evening, and while we waited for Dad to arrive back from work, mingled with the crowd.  Here is a picture of some friends we made from Turks and Caicos.  They all work at the Sandals resort in the Caribbean and are hoping we will come join them there one day.

When Dad finally arrived we unpacked our room and went over to Ceaser's Palace to eat some food and do some window shopping.

We stayed out late, partied hard, and saw some crazy things on our walk:

While Mom got Macie ready for bed, Dad took me out for our Vegas tradition of late night ice cream.  I was so tired, I could barely keep my eyes open.

It was after 11pm before Macie and I fell asleep in the master bedroom of the suite that Mom and Dad had reconstructed for us.

In the morning we were a little groggy from the late night, but insisted on walking the strip all the way from the Paris to the Excalibur. Before leaving we posed for some pictures:

We only made it 4 blocks before getting a taxi at the Aria (It took us about an hour to walk those 4 blocks because there were so many neat things to look at, and tons of people to chat with.

After a few hours we discovered that the Excalibur was not that cool- there were no princesses in the castle, and the arcade had nothing for kids our size.  We rode the tram back to the Paris and took a cat nap to rest up for our  big night.

Awake and ready to go, we waited for Dad to come back from work and take us to Circus Circus.  When the whole family was ready, we piled into a cab and made the drive down the strip.

Circus Circus was a dream come true for kids- there were rides, food, and fun everywhere!!! We spent the whole evening riding and having a great time!

I loved the ride, but poor Macie was a little scared:

Here I am jumping on the big trampoline!!!

The next day we slept in, packed up our stuff, and rode over to the Hard Rock Hotel to eat at Dad's favorite burger joint and see some legendary rock memorabilia.

The rock displays were awesome, and Dad loved showing us all the displays of his favorite bands.

All three of the girls passed out on the car ride home, and left poor Dad to navigate alone. I guess we are light-weight partyers after all...

Back home in Arizona I went to school as I do every week.  This week I had my sharing day, and chose to share another special member of my family...

EDDIE VAN HALEN!!(Here he is with Bingo- who is still going strong after 3 years and two states).

He did very well at school, and my class LOVED him!

Though Eddie had a good time at school, he didn't like the car ride home much:

Our family spent the next couple of days getting ready to go to California.  Macie helped Mom with the grocery shopping at Trader Joe's, and LOVED using the kid cart!

After school on Wednesday, Mom packed up our car and drove us out to California to see Jeff and Susan.  We were so excited as we drove up the PCH that we could hardly contain ourselves.  That night we spent time catching up with the Jacklin's until Mom put us in bed and insisted we rest up for our big Day at California Adventure.

In the morning Mom and Susan drove us to the park and we spent the morning riding all our favorites.

After lunch Mom took me over to ride the TOWER OF TERROR!  I was so excited to finally be tall enough to ride, but a little nervous after hearing the big kids in line talking about how scary it was.

I made it through, but don't think I will be going again any time soon. Below is a picture to prove I actaully went on the ride (if you look in the upper right hand corner you will see Mom holding on to me tightly as we drop down the tower).

Later in the afternoon Miss Nathalie and Lyla joined us at the park and we walked over to Disneyland.

After riding a few rides we lined up to watch the Disney parade.

While we were waiting Minnie Mouse came over and gave us some big hugs!!!

It was a fun filled day at Disney, and both Macie and I couldn't wait to go back to the park again the following morning.

We all woke bright and early, and after Mom packed the car, we left for the park. Our first ride was It's a Small World, and I brought Sleeping Beauty along.

Afterwards, we made our way to Sleeping Beauty's castle to walk through the inside and read the story.

As promised to PA, we went to the Tiki Room and ate lunch while watching the birds sing and dance.

Mom was impressed at how well we were behaving, and how "sisterly" we were acting as we walked hand in hand.

In the afternoon Jeff, Susan, and Wendy all joined us in the park for some fun.  We Rode Alice in Wonderland and posed at the White Rabbit's House.

While waiting in line for some of the rides, Macie and I grew bored and had to get creative:

The rest of the afternoon we walked through Disneyland and stopped at some of our favorite places, riding some of our favorite rides with some of our favorite people!!!

All of us had a blast with the Jacklin's and are grateful for all the wonderful memories we have with them!!!

Our trip to California was short since I had to make it home for the end of the school week.  Tired, but enthusiastic to spend time with my friends before the end of the year, I enjoyed Thursday and Friday at school.

On the weekend our family went over to Dean and Graham's house for some outdoor fun.  We swam, went down the slide, and drove the John Deere around the yard.

Dad and Macie stayed for lunch, and Mom and I went over to the Ice Den to celebrate my friend Chase's 5th birthday.  I hadn't been on ice skates since December when I went in California with Ryan and Liz, but had lots of assistance thanks to the use of this metal contraption.

It helped me a TON and after about an hour I was able to do it on my own!!!

After the party Dad took us out for some frozen yogurt, and Macie thoroughly enjoyed herself!!!

Monday kicked off my last week of school, and as sad as I was, I couldn't be more excited to participate in the fun week my teachers had planned.  The first day was Pajama day!

We got to pretend we were camping out in the classroom.  We all dressed up, read books, and watched a movie!

Macie made sure to take pictures on the picture bench.

On Tuesday we had a school wide barbeque, so I dressed in proper cowgirl apparel.

Before lunch we got to play boardgames, and I brought my princess monopoly to share with my friends.

Macie insisted on wearing her cowgirl boots as well!

Wednesday was my last day of school, and I was incredibly SAD.  Both Dad and Mom took me to school to celebrate my last day.  I got to wear bathing suit and play clothes to class so that we could play in the water.

That night we celebrated my last day of school by going to the mall and riding the train.

That weekend we went over to Bella's house to spend some time with her family leaving for Ohio.  We all dressed in our WT best, and played for hours.

Here I am playing the drums in my GNR tee for Dad (he must be proud):

Hungry after all the play, we sat down for dinner and watched a little TV.

The month of May had been full of activity, but June promises to be even more eventful because WE ARE GOING TO OHIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Mom, Macie, and I are SO excited we can hardly contain ourselves, so check back soon to hear about all the fun we had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
