A few days before the Daddy Daughter Dance, Mom took us to Lifetime for some haircuts and pampering.
We had a fun afternoon at the spa!
Before school the next day we took some pictures because we felt so fancy with our new hair, toes, and nails!
Though Presley and Nixon were still in their jammies, they wanted in on some photo action...
Mom was still busy working away on our dresses for the dance, so she was extremely grateful that Grandma Judy was visiting and could play with Presley and Nixon! The three of them had all sorts of fun riding bikes, taking walks, etc.
When Saturday finally arrived, Macie, Presley, and I all counted down the minutes until we could start getting ready. The dance didn't start until 6, so Mom made us wait until 5 to get the process started. Getting 3 girls ready was a lot of work for poor Mom, but 30 minutes later we were all dressed and ready for some pictures.
Macie went first, and said she felt like a fancy princess in her couture gown.
Mom chose a more grown up silhouette for me this year, but couldn't believed how much I looked like a pre teen...
Mom made Presley a princess ballgown like Macie, and Presley was over the moon excited that she was dressed up. She ran through the yard smiling and giggling. Mom couldn't help but feel sorry for the boy that takes her to the prom- Presley can often be described by a line Taylor Swift sings "I'm your worst nightmare dressed like a daydream"...
We took a few more pictures together while Dad was getting dressed to impress his dates.
It didn't take long for Macie to lose the "pretty" poses...
Mom insisted that we take a few more pictures with our handsome Dad before leaving.
Dad didn't oppose at all. He sure felt special standing there with all this little girls.
Dressed in our furs, we walked to our chariot and took off to the dance.
At the dance we were greeted at the door and given princess crowns and gloves!
Inside we did crafts and met different Star Wars characters.
After working up an appetite, we hit the buffet and loaded up on mac & cheese and chicken. Mom loved how Riley help her glass with her pinky out!!!
After gorging on some cupcakes (Presley had 3), it was time to hit the dance floor!
We danced, and danced, and danced...
Dad was impressed with our sweet dance moves...
After a few songs, Dad took 5 so that he could take some priceless videos for Mom to see. From those videos, Mom learned two things:
1). That Macie really like lyrical dance,
2). Riley dances EXACTLY like Elaine from Seinfeld...
After closing down the party, we came home exhausted from an evening full of fun with our awesome Dad!
The rest of our month is going to be BUSY. With school events, soccer, and a trip to Disneyland, we will have lots to share in the coming weeks.
