The first Saturday in February was Macie's Date with Dad. He "picked her up" and had a really fun surprise in store for her...
They went to the ICE RINK! Macie was SO excited! She had been asking to go forever, and couldn't believe she was finally there.
After getting all dressed up, she was ready to hit the ice...
Unfortunately, it was a lot harder than she remembered.
According to Dad she insisted on ditching the trainer and trying it on her own.
After a while she managed to get the hang of it!
When they were done at the ice rink Dad took Macie for some frozen yogurt.
Despite all the falls and tears, this day just couldn't get any better...
Dad and Macie spent the rest of their date playing at different parks around town. While they were out, Mom decided to take the rest of us to the park as well. We had a blast rolling down the hills:
The following week Mom was able to document a day in the life of Macie:
Here she is on her way to school; notice how nice and put together she looks:
Here she is at school after snack time with cupcakes (Macie made such a mess that her teacher sent Mom a picture):
And here she is after being picked up from school; notice her hair and clothing disheveled...
We all LOVE Macie, but she is such a hammer! There is rarely a day she returns home without a hole in her tights.
That same week Macie celebrated her 100th day of school. Her class was able to dress up wearing 100 of something. Of course, Macie chose to wear 100 Angry Birds. Poor Mom racked her brain to come up with an idea, and finally the light bulb went on in her head. She sewed 100 hanging Angry Birds on Macie's dress...
Macie's outfit was a huge hit at school, and Macie had a wonderful day. When she came home, she showed us all the crafts they made during the day. This one was Mom's favorite; she couldn't help but laugh at the irony...
(For the rest of the week poor Macie had to work on writing her D's).
At school I had a writing assignment asking what I would do with $100. I brought it home that night and Mom smiled when she read my response:
Our week was actually uneventful. Aside from posing for pictures before school, we didn't do much.
Mom had a doctor's appointment and discovered that the only way to keep Presley seated and quite was to bring a portable highchair.
Presley did well in the office, but was extremely happy when the doctor gave her a lollipop and sent us on our way.
After school that afternoon we took a trip down to Walmart to buy valentine cards, candy, and crafts. Presley was thrilled to ride Mickey Mouse- it is her favorite thing to do!!!
When the weekend came around again, the family stayed indoors writing valentines and making treats.
Presley and Nixon entertained us...
It is a TON of FUN having a big family!!!
Nixon is finally strong enough to hold his head up, so Mom sets him in the Bumbo while she is cooking in the kitchen. He seems to like it...
For our valentines party at school Macie and I got to decorate our own mailboxes. We designed them and Mom helped us put them together.
We were both excited for our Valentine party's at school. Mom had also let us help design our outfits for the day.
We had lots of fun at school celebrating with our friends! We ended the week with school pictures, and were grateful that Mom allowed us to choose our own outfits- we both chose blue!
The weather in Nevada has been really nice, so Dad took Macie and I to Red Rock for a hike.
Macie and I enjoyed our time outdoors with Dad!
Nixon is getting big fast, and he is interacting with us more and more each day. Mom and Presley have lots of fun with him during the day.
I am told that they spend most of their time running errands around town while we are at school. Mom goes to Walmart 3-4 times a week so that they can look at the fish tanks and ride the rides...
Last week, Mom forgot to bring a diaper and Nixon had a blowout. He is lucky that Mom could think like MacGyver...
She took off her t-shirt and made it into a makeshift diaper. Nixon didn't seem to mind! (It was a good thing Mom was wearing a zip up sweatshirt)!
