The last week of school before Christmas break was full of fun activities. We spent lots of time singing Christmas songs, watching Christmas movies, eating Christmas goodies, driving to see Christmas lights- you get the point- it was all sorts of Christmas fun!!!
Mom loved the winter weather, and took advantage of dressing us up in coats, boots, and sweaters!
We also got to wear some festive outfits to school.
To celebrate the holidays, our classes got to decorate gingerbread houses and Macie and I were super excited for all the candy- Macie could hardly wait to get to school!
Mom came into our classrooms to help with the fun!
The Friday before Christmas break began, we got to wear pajamas to school!!!
Presley and Mom had their own pajama day at home!
Each day we would play outside. Mom made sure to bundle us up to keep us warm- Presley looked so cute in her winter clothing!
We all enjoyed the time off school and the break from activities. We went to lots of Christmas events around town, and each night drove around to see Christmas lights. Presley was obsessed!!!
Because Mom has been so busy lately, I have had to step up and help out- she is grateful that I love my baby brother and enjoy hanging out with him.
Nixon turned 2 months old on the 22nd! Mom took him to the Doctor and he has gotten SO big. He measured 23 inches tall and weighed 11 lbs 4 oz!!!
We are having such a great time with our baby brother and can't wait until he can join in the fun!
Christmas was rapidly approaching, and Dad helped spread some Christmas cheer by having a work party at the house- he even dressed up for the occasion.
On Christmas Eve, after a family dinner and a trip around the neighborhood to see Christmas lights, we all watched the Grinch that Stole Christmas. Before bed we wrote letters to Santa and posed for pictures.
That night, Dad, Mom, Uncle Will, and Nixon enjoyed some snacks and egg nog in front of the fire.
It didn't take long for Nixon to put Uncle Will to sleep...
The next morning everyone woke up eager to go downstairs to see if Santa came. Mom made us all wait and take pictures before running into the living room.
Santa came, and left stockings full of treasures.
Each of us got a special gift from Santa, but the bubble machine he let for Presley was a big hit!
We spent the morning playing with our gifts while Mom cooked brunch for the family. Nixon seemed to enjoy his first Christmas with the family.
We had a casual day at home with family exchanging gifts and spending time together.
It didn't take Presley long to get the hang of opening gifts!
By dinnertime we were all exhausted from a full day.
We had a nice, quiet, and peaceful Christmas in our new home. With another week off of school, the family is looking forward to spending lots of time together!
