When Mom had some down time she dressed Presley up in her 4th of July outfit and had a mini photo shoot. She managed to get a few smiley shots...
Uncle Will came over a few days later, and the 3 of us dressed up and took some pictures together!
Presley wasn't too interested in looking at the camera.
A few days later I lost my first tooth- I was SO excited!!!!
Mom and Dad thought it was SO cute that Macie was super excited as well!
Since Mom was busy beginning to pack up the house, we didn't get out much. There were lots of trips to the store, but other than that we spent most of our time at home.
We did get to open gym a few times this month. Hayley even joined us to see what new things we could do.
Macie went on the zip line for the first time by herself, and we were all proud of her.
Mom made Presley work on her gymnastics skills too...
she is finally liking her tummy time, but doesn't last too long.
She definitely prefers to sit in her boppy!
Mid month, Macie and I pooled our money together and bought a new car- Mom and Dad laughed that we were insistent upon getting a pick up truck (Mom was shocked we said "NO" to the pink Barbie car).
Towards the end of the month Grandma Judy came to visit us after returning from her vacation in Mexico. She brought Macie back an Angry Bird piggy bank, and Macie was THRILLED!!!!
While Grandma was here we spent LOTS of time in the pool. Here I am trying on one of Grandma's swim suits- Mom thought it was hilarious!
In the afternoons, when it was cooler, Mom would bring Presley in the pool with us- she seemed to enjoy the water a lot!
I really enjoyed having Grandma here- she gave me all sorts of swim tips and even helped me learn to dive.
Watch the video to see both Macie and I working on our technique...
We also took Grandma to open gym to show her all the things we have learned since she was last here. She sat with Presley and watched as we wowed her. Mom laughed after looking at the picture- Aunt Hayley is in the background photo bombing Presley's pic...
Everyone at gymnastics LOVES to see Presley. Coach Taina helped Presley stand up, and can't wait until she gets to teach her gymnastics!
Because the last half of July was spent mostly at home, Mom didn't take a whole lot of pictures. She did manage to capture some silly moments; Eddie and Presley hanging out in the crib...
And she did catch Presley sucking her fingers...
Mom didn't want any of us to suck our fingers since she did until she was 8 years old. Both Macie and I took a pacifier, but it seems that Presley is just NOT interested. Mom wastes a lot of energy putting one in only for Presley to spit it back out. It seems that no matter what Mom does, Presley finds those fingers...
At the end of the day she has come to the realization that worse things could happen. Presley is a great baby; not much of a crier, and sleeps like an angel.
She has truly been a blessing to our family!
more pictures, so that I will have a much more engaging post next time...
