Easter!!!

Back at school Macie and I were busy with Easter activities.  Our classes were both preparing for our big Walk to Jerusalem, and I was excited to have a part in the play.  We did all sorts of fun activities including tye-dying t-shirts that we would wear on the big day- both Macie and I LOVED making tye dye!

One afternoon Mom took us over to the mall to visit with the Easter Bunny and take some pictures.  Before we left the house Macie posed in our usual picture spot looking so sweet...

It didn't last long; soon she was posing with her signature "Angry Bird" snare...

I couldn't pass up an opportunity to smile pretty for the camera!

Before meeting the bunny, Mom took a few pictures of us posing with the Easter decorations- pay NO attention to our footwear...Mom intended for us to be bare foot, and let us choose what shoes we would wear.  Guess she forgot they would be visible in pictures...

After what seemed like a billion pictures, it was FINALLY time to see the bunny!

He was awful friendly, and both Macie and I had nice big smiles this year!!!

With Easter right around the corner, Mom and Macie spent lots of time running errands while I was at school.  Mom had to pick up miscellaneous baby stuff as well as some items for the upcoming holiday.  They seemed to have a fun time despite the fact that Mom had to drag Macie around town a bunch.

While at Target, Macie found a big "exercise ball"  and insisted that she needed it to "get big and strong"- after hearing that Mom just HAD to buy it! What a sucker- you'd think that she'd know better by now...

At the end of the school week we got to Walk to Jerusalem!  Mom joined Macie and the Sunshine Room as they made their way through campus.

When they arrived at the stage it was time for my big performance.  I played the part of the crippled woman who was healed by Jesus:

(Mom will load the video later; she is having trouble with it)

The weekend came, and marked the start of our SPRING BREAK!!!!  It was great- lots of sleeping in and fun around town.  Here is a picture of Macie showing off one of her drawings she made during a lazy morning at home.

One of the things Dad had been looking forward to our family doing together was running the Torchlight 5K!  Macie and I both signed up to run the Kid's race, and Mom and Dad couldn't wait to see how we would perform running a WHOLE MILE.  Mom ran with me, while Dad and Macie followed.  They both couldn't believe how much stamina our little legs had- we finished the race in under 15 minutes, they were SO proud of us!!!

After the kids race, Macie and I piled into strollers so that Mom and Dad could get ready for the 5K.  Mom pushed Macie, while Dad teamed up with me.  It was a FUN family race, Dad ran the WHOLE way, and even beat Mom- despite the fact that she was 9 months pregnant, she was a little mad that Dad finished before she did.  Regardless of who "won", it was a great event for our family to do together!

That following week we did lots of activities around town.  Mom let each of us choose one special place to go, and I chose the Arizona Science Center- it was lots of fun:

Macie chose to go to the Zoo, and Mom discovered that both Macie and I were WAY MORE interested in posing for pictures and playing on the play structures than actually seeing any animals...

We also got to spend a whole day at Aunt Hayley's!  We rode bugs, played with the baby goats, and helped gather chicken eggs at the farm!

Before we knew it, Easter was almost here.  We went to Mountain View church with Graham and Dean's family to participate in the big Easter Egg Hunt.

Macie and I had a blast, and even got to eat cake afterwards- talk about a FUN day!!!

That night Macie and I  had a great time dying Easter eggs to leave for the bunny,

Before we went to bed that night we set out eggs for the bunny as well as some yummy carrots and cucumbers for him to snack on.

We woke up EARLY the next morning, EAGER to get downstairs and see what was left for us.  After quickly getting dressed, we RACED down the stairs.

Boy were we excited with what we found; beach towels, lunch boxes, cooking kits, and craft supplies- WOW!!!!

Macie couldn't stop hugging her Angry Bird beach towel- who knew it would bring such big smiles...

After we sorted through our baskets, it was time for our big egg hunt!  Macie and I lined up on the stairs, and when Mom said "go" we took off:

Macie and I were great egg hunters this year- we found all the eggs in record time!

Afterwards, we sat at the table and inspected our eggs while Mom made an Easter Breakfast Feast!!!

Later that afternoon our family came over to celebrate the holiday with us.  Uncle Will was put in charge of cooking the turkey, and this year he chose to fry it.  Mom was a little unsure about the procedure, so she watched from a distance as Uncle Will worked his magic...

While the turkey was busy frying, the family took a few more pictures before baby.

This poor kid doesn't know what kind of silliness she is being born into...

Mom's belly was really big that day (could be all the candy she ate), so we wanted to make sure to get some pictures where it was really visible.

It was fun taking pictures together as a family!

Before we knew it, the turkey had finished and it was time for Mom to get into the kitchen and prepare the side dishes.  Uncle Will pulled out the turkey, and boy did it look good!

After everyone sat down to eat our Easter feast, Aunt Hayley and John hid some more Easter eggs and Macie and I got to go on another hunt!  Because our back yard looks like a swamp ground, we took to the front yard for some fun.

Macie and I both returned back inside with baskets full of eggs- these ones had lots of yummy candy inside them!  Aunt Hayley sat with us while we sorted through everything.

The family had a wonderful Easter together, and we were glad to have Eddie Axl Fluffy Van Halen back at home (he had been with Aunt Hayley at her Vet Clinic for almost a week getting groomed and de-clawed).  He isn't much of a looker any more as Aunt Hayley is a MUCH better Vet than groomer, but we still love him!  At least she gave him a mohawk so that he would look tough...

With the baby coming at any time our house has been an interesting place to be.  Mom can't stop cleaning, sorting, cooking, etc.- she claims that she wants things to be in order when she returns home with the baby.  Check back soon to hear all about the arrival of our new baby sister!!!!!!!
