Macie is really having a blast in the Sunshine Room- she LOVES learning, and wishes she could go to school everyday!
At gymnastics Macie has been learning lots;
she has learned how to flip over the bar,
and is really working hard on hula hooping.
Sometimes she gets frustrated and decides that using her neck is easier than her waist...
At the beginning of the month our school held its annual art show. I was really excited for everyone to see all the projects we had been working on.
Here are a few of Macie's personal pieces,
And here are some of mine:
Mom's favorite was my self portrait:
Macie and I had a great time at the art show seeing teachers and friends!!!
When the weekend came we went to the Zoo to celebrate Tate's 6th birthday! Before leaving the house Dad took a few more pictures of Mom's baby belly so we could see just how much she was growing (can't believe our baby sister will be here in less than a month- SOO excited).
At the Zoo we had a blast seeing all of our friends from school!
We got to do all sorts of fun things in the "creepy crawler" themed party room. We made bug catchers, view finders,
After all the excitement we had cake and ice cream before heading over to the carousel
After the party was over everyone was free to tour the zoo. Mom, Dad, Macie, and I walked around with some friends- we all seemed to be more interested in the activities than the animals...
Check out this picture of Macie with the giant Ape- she looks right at home...
The following week we were back to school and our routine.
We spent lots of time running various errands in an attempt to get some things ready for the baby to arrive. Macie didn't always enjoy being shuffled in and out of stores, and made sure that everyone around her knew just how upset she was...
Mom did find time in our schedule for us to have some fun- after our errands and chores were done we would play at home and ride bikes- check out what a good job I am doing on my big girl bike:
At the end of the week the weather in Scottsdale was rainy and wet, so we spent a considerable amount of time indoors. At school we played lots of indoor games, and our teachers did their best to keep us occupied. On Friday Miss Jessie brought some face paint and she made me into a tiger- I was SOOO excited!!!
That afternoon, looking fancy with my Tiger face paint, Mom took me over to Sonoran Sky to register for Kindergarten next year. I was a little intimidated at first, but after meeting a few friends in the office lobby, I realized just how fun next year was going to be! I even got my very own Sonoran Sky t-shirt to wear home!!!
That night Mom, Macie, and I had a silly time at the dinner table- Mom even let us play with our food:
Early the next morning the whole family got bundled up in our rain gear and headed down to the annual Renaissance Faire.
There were all sorts of things to see- from people and attractions to rides and exhibits, it was non stop fun.
One of our favorite things to do at the Renaissance Faire is eat. This year Macie and I got our very own turkey leg to munch on...
Mom thinks that we enjoy making a mess with them more than eating them...
When Macie finished eating she jumped up, ready to play around and have fun- too bad she was covered in food from head to toe...
Mom got her cleaned up, and she went right back to putting on a show for the crowds...
I was in a food coma after lunch, so I lounged with Uncle Will while we all watched a pirate performance where a guy actually ate fire.
We spent the afternoon walking around the Faire, riding rides and taking in everything around us.
One of my favorite things was riding the BIG carousel with Dad and Macie...
We sure are lucky to have such a FUN Dad!!!!!!!!
By the end of the day all of us were pooped, and poor Mom was ready to sit down. Macie and I both got to choose one more thing to do, so while Macie rode a swan ride with Dad, Mom took me to get my face painted.
I was thrilled when it was complete!
Our family had a fun day at the Renaissance Faire together!
We have a big weekend coming up, not only is Dad having a birthday, but our family is taking a last minute trip to San Diego!!! We are looking forward to celebrating with Dad and letting him know just how special he is to all of us; he really IS our ROCKSTAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
