Another week of excitement!

This week I was full of life and laughs! Mom took me in the spa with her for the first time. I had a lot of fun moving around in the water and loved it when mommy made noises and splashed around the water. The weather this week was cold and overcast, so mom bundled me up and took me on a tour of the neighborhood. We met all sorts of people, and mom says that I am a celebrity around town! I enjoyed looking at my new surroundings and can't wait to explore them when I get older. I also spent a lot of time on my tummy this week and am getting stronger. I am trying really hard to move around, but still have trouble getting all my limbs to work together.
One night mom and dad gave me a bath together, and dad played with the cool new hand puppet grandma bought me. I thought daddy was so funny that I laughed out loud. Mom says that I was chuckling so loud I was screaming. Bath time is still my absolute favorite time of the day.
On Friday we went back to San Diego. I got to spend time with grandma Schafer on Saturday. We sat on the couch and read the paper together; there sure is a lot going on in this world.

In the afternoon my dolly and I put on the matching tu-tu's that grandma made us and we took a walk to the beach.

Grandma let me stand in the sand, and I loved the way the sand felt between my toes. I wiggled them back and forth with a big smile on my face.

Grandma and I are going to have lots of fun on the beach together. That afternoon we met up with grandpa Schafer in Mission Valley and got to see Uncle Ryan and Aunt Liz. I hadn't seen them in almost 3 months, and was excited to show them how much I have grown.
On Saturday night I got to do something that not many people get to do... I got to meet my GREAT GREAT GRANDPA! We went up to his house, where great grandpa Schafer used to live, and spent the evening talking with him. He sure was sure spunky and alert for his age.

This upcoming week is going to be full of anticipation. We are leaving for Wisconsin on Friday night, and I am so excited to see the rest of my family! I get to meet my grandpa Frankwick for the first time, as well as my uncle Brad. Dad says that I am going to have lots of fun with them. It has been months since I have seen my grandma Frankwick and my uncle Shawn, so they better be ready to give me lots of attention because I have missed them a whole bunch! We are spending a week back in the Midwest and will be seeing all sorts of friends and family. When I come home there will be many wonderful stories to tell, so make sure you check in on me after the holidays are through.

I wish all of you a very happy thanksgiving, and am grateful for all the wonderful blessings that this world has to offer!

This week was full of many firsts!

On Saturday we drove Granda Schafer back down to San Diego. We had such a fun week that I was sad to leave her. At night we drove down to Jamul to see Grandpa Ron. Along the way we saw all the devastation that occurred in the fires and prayed for all of the families that were affected. Grandpa Ron's house was OK, but all around we could see how close the fires had come to the homes in the area.

On Sunday I got to go to my first NFL football game. Mommy, Daddy, and I tailgated in the parking lot before the game with Linda, Cal, Grandpa Schafer, Debbie, and Mikey. Inside the stadium there was a lot to look at. I enjoyed all the interesting people and laughed at them as they made lots of noises. Mom said that I behaved very well at my first game, and that I will enjoy them more and more as I get older!

After the game we drove back home to get ready for my first Halloween. Mom and I searched all over for costumes but we couldn't find any. The sales clerk said that many stores were sold out. Mom was so sad that I may not have a costume. She was determined not to ruin my first Halloween so we drove around to more stores on Tuesday. We finally found a costume at the last store we went to on Tuesday night. Mom said that it was fate because it was the exact costume she was looking for.

On Halloween I put on my costume and we went down to daddy's office to surprise him and his co-workers. They were having a big pot-luck and I got to see everyone! We had fun until my costume became too hot and I decided that I wanted it off!

That night we got to hand out candy to Trick-or-Treaters at Jeny Gray's house. Mom let me wear the Halloween present that mommy bought me. It was a new shirt that said "I vant your candy", mom walked around all night saying that to everyone we saw. Dad started to go nuts! My first Halloween was a ton of fun.
We went back down to San Diego on Friday night to spend time with Mommy's family while Daddy went golfing. I loved sitting with Great Grandma Schafer on Saturday; she was rubbing my head and it made me happy! Mom let me wear my Halloween outfit again since she thought it was funny...
On Sunday night we went down to Grandpa's boat and had dinner at the Crab Shack. I had a great time making faces at all the people in the restaurant.

Even though we had a fun time in San Diego I was glad to return home to be with Jax and 4th!

Our family is keeping Auntie Karen and the family in our prayers and sending them our love and blessings.
