10 Months Old and SO BIG!!!

 Presley has gotten SO BIG, and by so big, we mean SO BIG!!!

Here is a recap of all the things she has done, and can do since the beginning of  2014.

Aside from learning to show us "how big" she is, Presley learned to clap, and loves to show us every chance she can.

 

Presley took her first real swim at Lifetime shortly after the new year.  She loved playing in the water fountains, but was not too thrilled when dunked underneath.

After her 10 month Doctor visit Mom was shocked to discover how big Presley really had grown.  She is now in the 96th percentile for height and the 50th for weight- I wasn't that big until at least 18months old; she's a tank!

Since she has become so stable sitting up that Mom let's her try all sorts of fun things, like riding in our pickup truck,

and playing the piano (although, as you will see, Mom gets nervous when she leans a little too far back):

 She is also able to play outside more often.  She loves playing on the trampolines, 

(Mom says it's the best playpen ever!!!)

At the start of January, Presley was trying with all her might to figure out how to get across the room.  She would get SO frustrated sitting in a room full of stuff (like mine and Macie's where junk is EVERYWHERE), unable to reach it.

 By the middle of January, using her desire to get into things as encouragement, Presley began crawling.  At first she would get SO frustrated:

After a few days she had it down, and has not stopped moving sine.  Poor Eddie is the one most put out by her new skill.

Presley has also enjoyed going on outings with Macie and I.  She really enjoys the Children's Museum because there are designated areas for people just her size!

Presley is growing leaps and bounds, and we are all SO proud of our baby sister!!!  Lots of things are happening in February, so I will make sure Mom takes lots of pics so that I can share them all with you.

Playing a Little Catch Up...

So, it's been way too long since I've been able to sit down to make a post.  Just after Christmas Mom dropped her computer and unfortunately it shattered.  Thanks to proper planning on Uncle Will's part, Mom had the complete care package on her computer and Dell agreed to replace her laptop. 

Now, after over a month, I'm back and prepared to catch you up on life for the Frankwick Family in January.

On January 1, 2014 Dad and I woke up early to start the year off right.  We ran the Commitment Day run together, and had a blast!

We were an inspiration to the rest of the family!

Back at home, Mom, Macie, and Presley spent their time cleaning the house and taking down the Christmas decorations.  When we got home the family spent the day together.  Thanks to our awesome Dad, we now have our very own playground in the backyard. 

We spent lots of hours over break playing at home. While Macie and I play, Mom pulls Presley around in the wagon while she waters, rakes, and picks up the yard.  Presley loves being outside!

 

At night we like to jump, and Presley loves watching us!

 Over break from school we spent lots of time riding bikes.  Macie even learned how to ride hers without training wheels!  It took her two trys before she was racing up and down the road.

Winter break flew by and before we knew it we were back at school.  Both Macie and I were excited to see our friends again.

Presley was glad we were back too- it meant she got to play on the playground at Chaparral with Graham and Macie.

The week after we started back at school we had our 100th day.  All of the kindergarteners got to dress up like they thought they would look when they were 100 years old.  I told Mom that I wanted to be fancy like Granmda Jensen when I am older, so Mom and I set out to make an outfit that Grandma would be proud of.  We were really proud of the finished look.

We made glasses, jewelry, a dress, a cane, a pair of shoes, and I was able to use my hat, fur wrap, purse, and fan to complete the look.  I refused to let Mom put wrinkles on my face and told her that "although I knew I would have wrinkles when I was 100, I did NOT want them now"- Mom couldn't stop laughing.

Mom was able to come to school with me, and watched all the festivities first hand.

Before lunch, all the kindergarteners lined up and marched through the hallways singing at the top of our lungs.  It was AWESOME because we usually have to be quiet.
 

By the end of the month we were all back into the swing of things.  Mom had spent lots of time sewing while we played, so Riley and I modeled some of the new clothes she made for us.

Over break Macie and I had a blast spending our days with Presley.  She is SO much fun, and is growing so fast.

A few weeks left till Christmas...

After weeks of practicing, Macie's big Christmas Performance was finally here!  She was so excited that she couldn't wait to get to school.  Once she arrived, she sat anxiously on the stairs until her class was called to the stage.

Once she stood in front of the crowd, she got a little shy.  Mom was worried that she would clam up...

Once the music began, she turned on the charm, and was a BIG hit!  Check out all these still shots- she REALLY gets involved with the songs...

When the songs were finished, Macie posed while the crowd cheered!

Before ending the night, all the alumni students were invited to the stage to help sing the final song.  Macie was SO excited that I got to join in the fun!

It was fun being up on stage with Macie and my Apple Room friends!  Afterwards, Macie and I posed together with big smiles!





Later that week, both Macie and I had our holiday parties at school.  Thanks to Uncle Will, Mom was able to come to school with me and help my class celebrate!





I love having her in the classroom with me!



Our party was lots of fun; we had 6 different stations, each with a fun holiday craft.

My favorite station was decorating a gingerbread man,

because after I was done decorating, I got to eat it!!!

At the end of the day, we all posed together as a class.  I was sad to leave school knowing that I wouldn't see my friends for two whole weeks.

 Macie had her class party the following day, and couldn't wait to celebrate with her friends in the Sunshine Room.

 Macie absolutely ADORES her friends, and her AMAZING teachers!

She had so much fun at school, that when Mom picked her up she was disheveled, dirty, and tired; all signs of a fun day at preschool.  Here she is posing with the gingerbread house she made that day. 

 

We spent the first Saturday of break relaxing and enjoying some much needed down time.  By Sunday we were energized and ready for some family fun.  After church our family packed up our car with snow gear and headed North towards the snow.  We met the Ketcham family at a hotel in Flagstaff, and the fun began.  Dean, Graham, Macie, and I grabbed some sleds and found a hill behind the hotel.  We played until it was too dark to see, and still whined when the parents demanded that we go inside to get dinner. 

Early the following morning our families both packed up and drove to the mountain to sled.  Mom dressed Macie, Presley, and I in warm, waterproof snow gear so that we were equipped to spend a full day on the hill.

We had a blast taking laps down the hill- even Presley had some fun on the sleds...

Presley tired quicker than the rest of us, so she snuggled up with Mom while Dad joined the rest of us for some sledding.

 Mom got tired holding Presley in her arms, and found a creative substitute for a crib...

Presley was able to get a decent 30 minute nap- just enough to wake with a smile!

She turned out to be a champ; all day she had a smile on her face.

When we needed a break from sledding, Dean and I would build snow forts and make snow balls.  Mom LOVED watching me play in the snow- she thinks I'm a natural and can't wait to get me on the slopes next season!!!

Our crew had an awesome time sledding together.  

After a break for lunch, Mom decided it was time Presley went on the big slopes.  Dad was nervous as he watched Mom carry her up the hill...

He could hardly watch as they started down the slope,

but smiled when he saw how much fun they were having together!

 By early afternoon snow the warm weather started to take its toll, and the snow began to disappear.  Our families both decided we were exhausted and ready to head back home.  Before packing up, Dad took a picture with Macie and Presley, super excited that he got to spend a fun day on the hill with us.

 The drive home went quickly, and before we knew it, we were all back in our cozy beds.  The trip had been a success, but we were glad to be back home.  Macie and I have TWO WHOLE WEEKS of break ahead of us, and can't wait for all the fun we are going to have.
